bridesmaids blues

Hahaha! SO TRUE. Everything looks awesome on Pinterest and it's rare to find wedding deco like that here. Maybe ade but tak nampak. I have to agree with Kakak Kahwin Khronicles that our local vendors should step up their game against their Malaysian friends! 

Speaking of friends, this issue of bridesmaids has been bugging me. I roughly know who I want to appoint to be my bridesmaids. Ideally I want to have 4 bridesmaids, so you know...when we take pictures, I can be in the middle and 2 of them on each side but now I'm reminded of my childhood friend who appointed me to be her ONLY bridesmaid and now she is expecting me to ask her to be mine. It's not that I do not want her to be part of it and I don't want to hurt her feelings but I feel she hasn't been there for me that much. I would loveeeee for her to be at my wedding but my bridesmaid...I don't know. To be fair, I did tell her that she was going to be mine- that was when I still had no plans to marry and now I totally feel bad because of my mulot gatal. Is this what people mean when they say you gotta "hurt some feelings" when it comes to wedding planning? Sigh. I know my 4 chosen bridesmaids won't let me down. They have been with me, enduring my nonsense for YEARS and I know they're very reliable and understanding. It would be a honour if they agree. Well hopefully by then none of them is heavily pregnant, haha!

If I tell my mother about this problem confirm she retort, ape nak bridesmaids ni semua? Dulu aku takde bridesmaids, mak andam je. Hahahaha yes, dulu police pon pakai seluar pendek k. Anyway was doing my daily blog reading and I really like this entry by XX...

I think I can handle Drama Queen, Wet Blanket and Flaky girl. What I might not be able to handle is the fussy girl. There can only be ONE fussy person..and it's the bride. HAHAHAHA. 

Kahwin Kahwin Saturday.

Glad that I took leave for this...

... and managed to book Kasai Sayang for my deco! YUP, decided on them cos I am very the in love with their Tiffany Blue & White pelamin! Come to think of it eh, it was another deco vendor that I wanted to engage but because I felt their service was...MEH, I decided not to. Service is very IMPORTANT. If I'm not "feeling" it, I won't be so keen. That being said, I think Kasai Sayang's service is excellent, they're not pushy and their prices are quite affordable. 

Always like that lah. Andaman also gitu, enquire bridal house yang lain, dah 70% decided on them, tawaf satu expo AGAIN and then decided on the other one. Must survey survey first lah hah. 

Hahaha, can't believe I came out of the exhibition cheering because I managed to block the date, wuahahaha. So Bridezilla. The fellow kakak kakak kahwin must be thinking I'm nuts, hur hur. But seriously lah, cannot hegeh hegeh lah. 

Because I took my own sweet time, there were no available videography slots for my wedding date!!! That means I cannot  have Bliss Photo Cinema for my videography!!!! SO SAD CAN!!!!!! Omg, I've been stalking them for sooooo long and I can't have them! The guys from Bliss were really nice to recommend another videography vendor, so we'll see but STILL. :( x infinity seh. Haiz, takde rezeki nak engage dorang tapi takpe lah jah. 

To soothe my aching heart, dragged my ever obliging girlfriend & Maid of Honour, Nadiah to the wedding expo at Singapore Expo. It was...MEH. Don't waste your time, really. Spent 3/4 of the time stuffing our faces with food and watching a group of makciks dance. Managed to ask for quotations from 2 caterers though. Farah Diana catering & SMR. Uh, still discussing with mom about it. Feedback about them anyone? Would really appreciate it! 

Merayap-ed to the Book Sale next door and bought this for Nadiah!

Okay, that's all for my kahwin kahwin Saturday. Glad that I managed to book my deco vendor but super sad that there were no slots for videography for my wedding date. Takpe lah, nasib badan!

Attended L&L's beautiful wedding party on 10th December. It was awesome!

Not the usual stuffy sit down dinner, it was free and easy, food was delicious, drinks aplenty and the best of all, they had the INSTANT PHOTOBOOTH AND AN ICE CREAM CART! The BEST wedding party I've been to! Photos + Ice cream = WIN.

I loveeeee the instant photobooth but I bet it costs a bomb and I'm not sure if it is worth spending on. Just like Chiavari chairs. Had a little chat with my FSIL who is gonna tie the knot next year and she urged me to book the vendors quickly. A bit panicky right now cos I heard people are already booking for 2014!

Anyways, we've (more like me) shortlisted the vendors. Now I'm more focused on saving up. I don't believe in grand weddings but I don't want it to be too shabby either. Yang sederhana tapi yang sederhana pon pakai duit oi. Glad that I finally terminated my gym membership with FF. Kinda pointless since I haven't been going for any classes. So yup, saved a bit there.

Shortlisted my bridesmaids too, haha. I really hope they're efficient and are able to help me while tangkap-ing glamour.

We'll see how it goes, quite early to say isn't it? :)
