Kami sudah bersedia!

Attended Suchi Success Kasih Sejati Marriage course during the weekend and it was GOOD. The trainers were funny and the course content were relevant. Touched on a few topics that made me think twice. Within  2 days can actually see the dynamics of some couples ah.

Initially wanted the 8 & 9 June slot at the Suchi Success training centre but was told by Kakak KK that the training centre had no tables! Like a bit funny leh, training centre got no tables and must write on laps.

So it was down to the 1st & 2nd June slot at Masjid Mydin or the 15th & 16th June slot at Masjid Alkaff. I actually wanted to go for the one at Masjid Alkaff because the mosque is super near my house but remembered I have a wedding to attend so we decided on the Masjid Mydin slot. We wanted to go for the course before Ramadan cos after Hari Raya, confirm busy nye.

Called the masjid's rep and was told that the class will be held at their auditorium..and there were tables. HAHAHA.

There were 8 modules in total and we had to attend and complete all modules before attaining the certificate. The first trainer- Cik Razak was hilarious! He touched on Personalities and In laws. I didn't realise that both of us have very different personalities! I knew we were different but didn't expect to be THAT different!

I am a Pisang and he's an Anggur! Opposites tahap Joo Koon and Pasir Ris nye! He has no pisang traits AT ALL.

Pisang

  • Pemikir
  • Teliti & Telaten
  • Tersusun & Teratur
  • Perfectionist
  • Berhemah & rendah diri
  • Serius, Fokus & Bertujuan
  • Ikhlas
  • Komited
  • Berdedikasi
  • Perihatin & Peka
  • Berjimat cermat (LIES.)
  • Bertangguh tangguh
  • Mudah murong
  • Pengharapan tinggi

Anggur

  • Ceria
  • Perlukan 'penonton'
  • Ramah mesra
  • Tarik perhatian orang sekeliling
  • Suka bermain dengan kanak kanak
  • Happy-Happy
  • Riuh
  • Kreatif
  • Berwarna warni
  • Menggelabah (That's more like me though)
  • Kecoh
  • Lenting - lenting
  • Banyak cakap
  • Pelupa
  • Berkecah
  • Mementingkan diri (Ashamed to say this but this trait is more like me.. T_T)
  • Berubah ubah fikiran
  • Potong cakap orang

Kinda pleased that I have equal parts of Semangka and Limau in me. Hahaha and I am really not an Anggur, I think I am more of a listener in certain situations. Anyway the trainer said that we have to work harder due to our different personalities. :'(

Cik Razak also covered In law issues. A few tips that are good to note...

  1. Husband should never complain to his mother about the wife. Complain to HER mother instead
  2. If the wife wants to complain about her husband, complain to his father and not his mother.
  3. If you visit your in laws, bring something for them. Don't come empty handed (oops! hahahahahaha)
  4. Don't be confrontational towards your in laws and telan je bila mak mertua sindir or coloured. Kalau tak boleh angz lagi, bilang suami baik baik.

Very useful tips!

The food for lunch and tea breaks were yummy too hahahahaha. The sex topic was refreshing! The Ustaz Zulkifli went through the dos and don'ts of sex (no backdoor hor) and touched on the topic of nikah and nafkah. The topic of expenses for a Walimatul Urus was also brought up. I am seriously considering cutting down on some things. Actually what the trainer said makes sense. Why do you want to spend so much on a reception / wedding when you can use the extra moolah for a honeymoon? The most important aspect is the nikah, sometimes we're so wrapped up in creating the "Perfect wedding" we forget the basics. :( Sigh, think I have to let go of my Chiavari chairs dream. SIGH SIGH.

The next day, Cik Khair gave us a run through about sex and also addressed issues about oral sex and also if husbands are allowed to drink their wives' breast mik. I DIDN'T KNOW CAN LEH. o_O

Interesting! Really enjoyed Cik Khair's session. His jokes are damn funny and witty! His wife, Puan Suriati was equally good as well! She taught us how to handle conflicts in the marriage. I really like how she engaged the class and enjoyed the part when we had to decipher why Men and Women think differently. Hahaha so fun kutok the guys! Anyway I am really happy that my Fiance paid attention! We exchanged looks so many times! Especially when Cik Suriati said something about the women will always think they're right hahahahaha. My fiance's answer to some questions were hilarious!

We had to rate  the challenges that we might encounter during the 1st year of marriage and I rated "Mutu Hidup" as Berat. Look at my Fiance's response! BUNUH DIRI. Ha ha ha. You quite funny hor.

And I discovered that my "Bahasa Cinta" is different from him. He prefers Berkhidmat- Acts of appreciation while I prefer Kata kata Pengukuhan- Words of Affirmation. Think it's so true. I love compliments (Eh  korang jangan bedek tak suka!) and will always strive harder. Aiyah, so basically I love "talk" while he prefers "action". Ah bagos lah tu. Tapi "nak masuk syurgakan" nye comment tu tak perlu eh bb. HAHAHAHA.

"ROGER"

And I realised that both of us treasure our alone moments. The girl who sat next to me was kinda surprised that both of us are ok with being alone to do our own stuff. But yeah, gotta give men a bit of freedom and of course I still wanna hang out with my grrlzzzz.

Shed a few tears writing the love note and cried a bit more reading his love note to me. So touching! Hahahahahaha

Anyhoos, I am super glad that I attended the course by Suchi Success. Think every nak kahwing couple should go! I do think that they should focus more on In laws though...like how to handle conflicts, maybe have a role play or something.

WOOT WOOT!

And now since the course is over, I can concentrate on saving up (what's new!), getting furniture and painting my room. And yes, I need to register my nikah and get a good time slot...it never ends.
