I can Dukan


Any of you did NOT gain weight during the festive season? If you didn't gain weight, you're damn lucky! 

Think I gained a bit of weight indulging in all those rendang, ayam masak merah and whatnot. I lost a bit of weight during the fasting month only to gain back. Bagos ah.

I've always had issues with my weight. I think I gained weight massively in 2005 when I tried to quit smoking but lost a bit of weight when I was on job training at H/T/A in 2009. My weight keeps going up and down and I was never the skinny sort and it really doesn't help that I'm top heavy. 

Think I've tried a few things to help me lose weight. Tried Duromine once and it made me lose weight so fast but I was bitchy, tired and constantly thirsty! I was terribly sick and had to go on sick leave so many times (like it's a bad thing eh? hehe). The last straw was when I had heart palpitations! I decided to stop taking the pills and my weight shot up! GAHHH.

Have been exercising and watching my diet since January and I've lost some weight. I was 67kg at my heaviest and now I am 60kg. I did zumbabi , jogged and eat clean. Sometimes I PHAIL in this eating clean thingy, I'll over indulge and feel terribly guilty after that.  

What my relative said to me during raya did not make things any better. She said that I have to be "thin or else nanti pelamin roboh." Bitchy hor? I am SO SICK of them talking about my weight. It's always "Oh, you're fat, lose weight. Kau kurus lagi lawa...kau dah naik badan blah blah blah." Tak pernah cakap benda baik, selalu kene comment orang kurus ke gemok. And people wonder why I grew up with weight issues.

Anyway I would like to lose more weight and since the wedding is in a few months, I'm gonna kick it up a notch. After much convincing by Yaya, I decided to go on the Dukan diet! I had my reservations about this but wtheck, just try lah. Ok here's a little introduction to the Dukan diet...




Hahahaha, just google Dukan diet and you will somehow get what the Dukan diet is all about lah. Basically you eliminate carbs until you get to the Consolidation phase and reintroduce the carbs back but not too much. I am willing to commit to this diet and I gotta thank Yaya for the motivation. She is on this diet as well and I am so glad to have a friend who can motivate and guide me through this! *fistpump* We went Dukan grocery shopping and quite sad that I have to eliminate a lot of food but IT'S OK, nak kurus kan!

Ok so I am gonna start tomorrow- 19/8/2013 (Monday). I have to be on the Attack phase for 3 days. That's 3 days of Pure protein food. Oh boy, I am gonna be so happy to eat vegetables on Thursday! HAHAHA and then I'll move to the Cruise phase where I can eat veges and protein. Dah macam rabbit! I'll try my best to commit to this. Maybe I'll update this Dukan diet thingy on a daily basis, if tak malas! Apart from the diet, I'm gonna Zumba, jog and walk more. 

Hope I am disciplined enough to endure this diet, wish me luck! :)
